Why employers should treat their pregnant employees with utmost care

Employers need to be very careful on how they treat their employees who are expectant. They should not discriminate them just because they are pregnant and they should not think that they cannot be able to do their work well just because they are expectant. If it is evident that the work load is a lot, then they should reduce it a little bit and also look for a way to extend their deadlines. When the women apply for parental maternity leave that means that they will be away from work for at least three months before and after the baby is born. The mothers need to be paid during the period of their maternity leave. As an employer you should direct them on the forms that they are supposed to be signing and filling. This is important because the employer is also at an advantage. This is so because the expectant employee will have to sign and indicate that they will resume work after the time they have agreed on. If they do not adhere to this, then they are will owe their employer some money. So in case of complications after birth that required them to get more time, then they should inform their employers.
