Mr. Chu created a small fortune by making dumplings. Initially, the dumplings were homemade and each piece painstakingly molded by hand. The taste and quality of the dumplings were exceptional that pretty soon he was swamped with a hundreds of orders. His little family of helpers were no longer able to cope with the growing number of orders for the dimsum that's why they ventured into the idea of putting up a factory and automating their business.
With factory automation, they were able to cope with the growing demand for their dumplings. Eventually, from being a homebased business, people offered to resell their products. The small family business became a huge hit as a franchise and from a handful of outlets, at present they have over hundreds of franchisees. Currently, they can mass produce the dumplings at 100,000 pieces a day, supplying all of their franchise owners all over the country.
