I always say that it is a miracle that I am in college, because I never imagined that I would ever afford to go to college. My foster mother told me that it was not a miracle it is because I had a brilliant mind that made me secure a full academic scholarship and a grant for college for my up keep. When she took me in ten years ago, she always said that I was destined for great things and I always thought that it was a hoax but it was not. And every time she told me that, I would in turn take care of her when that happened. I intended to keep my promise because she was the only person that I could identify as a parent. I worked hard in college, I also had the normal college fun that people had and made sure that I attended all classes. My grades were good and I ended up graduating earlier because I was allowed to take a crush course. When I got my first job, my first salary went to my foster mother. |

Giving excuses for being jobless is getting out of fashion on a serious note. This is because there are so many ways that people can make a living. It is not written anywhere that the only job that one is supposed to get is in an office. In fact people are being encouraged to go for blue collar jobs because they are more enriching compared to most coveted jobs, the white collar jobs. My mother could not be employed in many offices and she had to feed us. So what she did is that she decided to use her skills to make a living. She was really good at making sweater. She does not make dorky huge un propotional sweaters but hers are very classy and cozy. She started selling her sweaters on the paypal shop and that is why she is successful to date. Selling sweaters on paypal was a great idea because many people like shopping online and they trust paypal and when she put her sweaters online, she became a hit in an instant. |

Preparing to bury our dead is the most difficult thing to do. Its not just about the departing loved one, but because of the costs involved. So many people cannot foot the funeral bills, and they end up borrowing some money from friends, relatives and even the government. We already have funeral grants that are issued out by the government for the same purpose, and one can get enough money to foot the full bill. There are so many things that require financial support, like paying hospital bills, attendants that are going to prepare the body for burial, transportation to the burial site and so many other things. The cost of living these days has gone really up, and not everyone can afford such expenses, that is why the government is offering these grants to anyone who is needy, irrespective of their social class. Initially, only the extreme needy were considered, mainly the low income earners, but today, everyone is eligible to receive benefits. This will enhance equality to all citizens, because we will be using the same resources and services. |

I never thought that I would never be jobless. This is because I went to an Ivy League university and got the best quality educations that anyone can ever get. I graduate in top honors and several job offers were being thrown at my side. It was a good thing, and I took the best offer that I got. It was very competitive and this got me really far. I did not have time to make meaningless relationships and contacts. Every relationship I had always benefited me in a professional manner. So if someone was not being helpful, then I did not associate myself with them. The company valued me because they knew when I set out to do something I did a really good job. There was a time when they were downsizing the company and they needed to suck some company employees so that their budget could fit. It even got very may people worried and they keeps on asking each other if they got fired where would they go. I had no worries of unemployment benefits do i qualify. This was because my employers knew that many competitors wanted me on their side, and that is why I would never be out of work even I got fired. |

As an employer, I find it so easy these days to hire new employees for my company. I am scared of getting a credit card and I do not see myself in the future getting one. This is because a credit card nearly cost my mother her home and I saw how it nearly tore her apart. She eventually paid off all her credit card debts and she refused to use them again, she got rid of all of them because she knew how much damage those plastic cards can cause. It all started when her bank encouraged her to take a second credit card and she did because she did not think that she would encounter any problem as long as she paid it off in time. The bank then added the interest rest on her the payment of her credit cards and that is where the trouble began. She even had to involve a lawyer who was well versed when it came to credit card consumer protection uk. People are always quick to judge those people who decide to get in to professions that are not considered to be acceptable in the society. Those people who complain that they do not have money should quit complaining and instead look for solutions to their current issue at hand. They should not have the tendency that money is for those who are rich, but they can also be able to get the money too. They should know that the rich people did not come to such kind of wealth overnight it took a very long time for them to achieve all that they have. They had to sacrifice a lot on the way. My family was a low income family and I was afraid I was not going to proceed to the university after high school due to the costs involved. I was always doing very well in school and I knew that I was going to be selected to study in the university immediately after high school, but now I knew my family could not afford it. I sought the advice of my school counselor and she referred me to a grants expert who was concerned about education grants to capable children from poor families. He had helped so many students in getting grants to study in colleges after high school according to the counselor. This is the guy who helped me in getting university grants from the government. He directed me on how I was going to write an application letter for the grants. I got enough money for school fees and maintenance. I am in my final year in the university, doing law and I have been getting grants all these years. What could I have done if the government was not offering these grants? |
